Working in the community fuels nurse’ passion

Toronto Star | By Rick McGinnis | May 6, 2017

ParaMed community nurse Jasmina Topalovic was nominated by her client, 93-year old Shirley Kofman for the Toronto Star’s 2017 Nightingale Awards. The women share a special bond.

Shirley, a ParaMed client since 2009, has utilized the services through several hospitalizations and surgeries. She noticed the difference when Jasmina took the extra time and effort in visiting her in the hospital after surgery. It all meant “a great deal of difference in my life,” Shirley says.

Jasmina has been named an Honourable Mention recipient in the Toronto Star Nightingale Award.
