Meet our Care Champions:

Abdulrazaaq, Continuing Care Assistant in Halifax, Nova Scotia, nominated by a peer   

“Abdulrazaaq is helping people live better by providing care needs, emotional support and promoting independence with his clients; always greeting clients with a smile and gentle demeanor.”

 

Paul, Registered HNHB Nurse, Ontario, nominated by a peer

“Paul is an excellent palliative registered nurse, who always goes the extra mile when caring for his clients. His professional, caring, and gentle approach is much appreciated by his clients and families. He is a true team player and an asset to our palliative team.”

Sheila, PSW in Windsor, Ontario, nominated by a peer

“Sheila has been a PSW with ParaMed Perth since 2005. Over the years, she has taken on the care of several clients with dementia, and her commitment and care for them are what has allowed the clients to remain in their homes well into their 90s. Many of Sheila’s clients will request to have her as the primary caregiver. Sheila is a team player, excellent care provider, and advocate.” 

Tamara, PSW in Erie St. Clair, Ontario, nominated by a peer

“Tamara always goes above and beyond for a client she sees daily in Amherstburg. For the client’s birthday, Tamara cooked her a fish meal and celebrated with the client as she did not have any friends or family. Tamara displays patience and allows our clients to maintain independence and treats them with dignity while maintaining a professional therapeutic relationship with them.”
