ParaMed team members recognized as Home Care Heroes

Nine dedicated ParaMed team members have been honoured as Home Care Heroes by Home Care Ontario (HCO) in recognition of their exceptional contributions to patient care across the province, and for the positive impact they make in the lives of individuals who rely on home health services. 

HCO represents organizations providing home and community-based care in Ontario and acknowledged more than 120 home care professionals as this year’s Home Care Heroes. ParaMed is proud of our team members for their expertise in providing compassionate care to clients to help them live better in the comfort of their homes. 

“Our dedicated team of Home Support Workers, Personal Support Workers, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals go above and beyond their call of duty each day to provide the best possible care to their patients. We are thrilled to have nine ParaMed team members among this year’s cohort of Home Care Heroes,” says Katarina Busija, Chief Nursing Executive at ParaMed, “We are grateful for Home Care Ontario’s efforts to recognize these outstanding home care providers.”  

The HCO award commends recipients for their dedication to improving the quality of life for patients and highlights the importance of home care workers in enhancing the health and well-being of individuals across Ontario and the broader healthcare community. 

ParaMed’s 2025 Home Care Hero recipients include Personal Support Workers (PSW), Home Support Workers (HSW), an Occupational Therapist, and an HSW Educator.
